New in Orlando: March 2026
Best New Date Night Spots
From a James Beard-nominated wine bar to a Top Chef Southeast Asian rooftop — here's what just opened (and what's about to) in Orlando this spring.
Your new favorite "we found this place" spot. Sparrow is a tiny Southern European-inspired wine bar in Orlando's North Quarter from James Beard Award finalist Chef Wendy Lopez and the Good Salt Restaurant Group. Think jamón ibérico, seafood conservas, short rib ragù, and a wine list that makes you want to stay all night. The room is dim, intimate, and effortlessly romantic — the kind of place that makes a Tuesday feel like a special occasion. They also do a Saturday Afternoon High Tea and exclusive wine dinners if you want to plan ahead.
Downtown Orlando just got a sleek new lobby bar and restaurant inside the Society high-rise. Terra is from Thriving Hospitality (the crew behind Lamp & Shade and Thrive), featuring composed New American dishes by chef Ryan Stewart. It serves breakfast through dinner, which means it works for a weekend brunch date just as well as a late-night glass of wine. The interiors are modern and airy — not trying too hard, just genuinely good vibes.

Named after the German river siren of legend, Lorelei is the new wine bar from the duo behind Death in the Afternoon and Suffering Bastard — two of Orlando's cult favorite bars. It opened in February right in the heart of Mills 50, across from Edoboy. If you know those bars, you already know what to expect: a moody, carefully curated atmosphere where every bottle on the list was chosen with intention. Perfect for a date that starts with "one drink" and turns into three hours of conversation.
Opened January 2026 in Maitland, right across from Lake Lily Park (yes, the same one where people picnic and propose). Osteria Ester is warm Italian-American done right — handmade pastas, hearth-baked focaccia, Italian wines, classic cocktails. The rich interior tones set a date night mood the second you walk in. The location next to the lake park means you can extend the evening with a post-dinner stroll. That's a two-for-one date move.
Top Chef Season 3 winner Hung Huynh is bringing bold Southeast Asian flavors to the Mills 50 district this spring. Pomelo is a lush, casual 2,600-square-foot indoor/outdoor space with fire-grilled seafood, skewers, caviar, chicken nuggets (the elevated kind), and tropical cocktails. It seats around 100 guests and has the energy of a place where you show up hungry and leave a little obsessed. Great for a foodie date that wants something adventurous without being stuffy.
Michelin-starred chef Michael Collantes (of Soseki fame) is expanding his Sushi Saint hand roll concept to ICON Park this spring. The new 3,000-square-foot location seats 150 with indoor and outdoor options. Fresh hand rolls, relaxed atmosphere — it works as a quick date stop or a slow night out depending on your mood. The ICON Park location also gives you built-in date night bonus points: the Orlando Eye is right there, and Blue Man Group opens nearby in May. Stack your date.
This one's going to be a go-to. The Eola Food Hall opens April 2026 in the two-story building at 150 E. Central Blvd (the old University Club), directly across from Downtown Orlando Public Library. We're talking 15,000 square feet with 10 food vendors, a small fine dining restaurant, a wine room/speakeasy, a cocktail bar, and floor-to-ceiling panoramic views of Lake Eola Park. It's the kind of place you can make a full night out of — or use as a pre-show stop before catching something downtown. The speakeasy component alone makes it date-worthy.
A 25-minute drive from downtown, but absolutely worth it. Harlow Grove is opening in Spring 2026 inside the Smith & Main complex in Winter Garden, steps from Plant Street. It's a two-story restaurant with a dynamic first-floor lounge, an upstairs dining room, and — the detail that seals it — a veranda terrace under a century-old oak tree. That's the kind of outdoor dining backdrop you plan a proposal around. Think elevated cocktails, thoughtful food, and an atmosphere that makes the effort of driving to Winter Garden feel like exactly the right call.
